So excited to share some big news with all you candle lovers! Our hand poured soy candles have been featured in a major home publication...Sunset Magazine!

That's right - our soy wax candles can now be marked by 'as seen in Sunset Magazine.' How cool is that?? And just in time for the holidays, too...so check out our unique take on a Christmas Candle, as seen in Sunset Magazine:

Candles That Smell Like the Holidays

When we first started our small candle business in our house in San Jose, California, we had small goals: sell at local craft fairs, participate in some holiday markets, and perhaps sell our candles in a local store or two. Well, I think it's safe to say that we've grown well beyond that, and we continue to grow thanks to all of you awesome folks who've stopped by and bought a candle or two (or 25). To all of you, thank you!

But I digress.

Let's get back to the big news that Scented Designs was featured in a published piece by Sunset Magazine.

The piece is called "Candles that Bring the Holidays Home," and it features our upcycled wine bottle candles, which make amazing holiday gifts and can be poured in any one of our delightful holiday scents (think Gingerbread Cookie, Christmas Hearth, Under the Mistletoe...and don't forget to check out our entire Christmas Candles Collection before you go).

Holiday Candle Gifts

We're thrilled to have these unique holiday candles on Sunset Magazine's list of the best Christmas candles. Of all of our scented soy candles, we love our wine bottle candles for a lot of reasons:

1) We get to drink the wine first ;)

2) Each bottle is then hand-cut and sanded down. This involves a lot of elbow grease and time, but we like the idea of being able to upcycle the containers in order to be eco-friendly and also create a unique gift for wine lovers.

3) They can be poured in pretty much any of our candle scents (including Christmas scents for the holidays), so they're great for any time of year and can be personalized for the gift recipient or for your own home decor.

4) These unique candles make for cool gift ideas for foodies, wine lovers, neighbors, friends...pretty much anyone.
